Financial
Services Industry Speaks Out
About PC Banking and Bill Pay
November
20, 2000, Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
A recent study
conducted by Raddon Financial Group (RFG) surveyed 87
financial institutions on a wide variety of online
banking issues. This
timely study includes information on PC banking and
bill pay penetration, current online services offered,
online services that will be offered in the next year,
and bill pay pricing.
Findings are reported by institution type (bank
or credit union), asset size, and by credit union
field of membership.
These peer groupings facilitate relevant
comparisons among institutions.
Institutions
were asked which online services they plan to
introduce over the next year.
The majority (61%) said that they would
introduce online statements.
Over one-half said they would introduce check
imaging. Investments, portal services, and bill pay rounded off the
top five list of services to implement.
"Financial
institutions will find this report extremely useful by
benchmarking their PC banking and bill pay penetration
with their peers.
They’ll learn how pricing affects bill pay
penetration and what online services their peers
currently offer and what services they plan to offer
in the next year,” adds Eric Wittekiend, eResearch
Program Manager.
The
PC Banking Industry Study was conducted during August
and September 2000, and is now available for only
