Open Solutions IA Systems Hosts Successful Lending Forum with Credit Union Times and Raddon Financial Group 

ALBANY, N.Y. & GLASTONBURY, Conn. -- Open Solutions IA Systems, a business unit of Open Solutions Inc.®, announced that its first ever Northeast Lending Forum, held on May 29 in Newark, N.J., was a great success. Representatives from credit unions in the northeast attended the event to gain insight into their own business practices as well as regulatory changes.

Attendees heard from industry experts including Fabio Biasella, the vice president and managing director of Strategic Advisory Services at Raddon Financial Group; Sarah Snell Cooke, editor-in-chief of Credit Union Times; and Tom Nugent, Open Solutions IA Systems’ northeast region area vice president of sales for Loan Origination Systems. Presentation topics included “What Is the Quality of My Lending Portfolio?,” “Watch Out for Washington” and “Lending in a Recession.”

According to Nugent, “Attendees were very engaged in the topics we discussed. They left armed with valuable information they can use at their credit unions to help evaluate their current loan account monitoring procedure, reduce new risk and prepare for new regulations.”

“Given the state of the economy, we didn’t know what the response would be to the event,” said Tim Conners, IA Systems marketing manager. “People just aren’t traveling. But we had a nice turnout and every participant seemed to really enjoy the discussions and was engaged from start to finish. We’re very pleased with the success of this forum and plan to continue holding them throughout the nation.”

IA Systems plans to host its next Lending Forum this fall in Chicago.
